SUNFO-Maldives Cooperation Meeting with the Sri Lankan High Commissioner in Male.

Dr.Deshapriya S. Wijetunge Director General of SUNFO was invited for a discussion with the President of the Human Rights Commission of Maldives Madam Maryan Azar Ahamed at the Commissions Head Office in Male, Maldives on 26 June, 2011.

For this discussion Dr.Aly Shameem , Commission Member, Mr.Imad Mohamed,Director General HAD/Vice President Maldivian NGO Federsation, Mr.Nisha Upendra-Director LYON and Officials of the Human Rights Commission participated.

During the discusion Madam Azar and Officialds explained their progressive stepts to protect Human Rifghts in Maldives and Human Rights Educational and awreness programmes for Maldivian Youth with wide collaborations of the Civil Society. Dr.Wijetunge explained about Human Rights promotional activities and programmes carried out by SUNFO during past.
